There is such a substantial amount of information that is required to know when building a suitable team. How can we represent and streamline all data that may be considered valuable for individuals designing their own Pokémon team?

The app is designed for casual to competitive players who want to learn more about team-building strategies, as well as content creators and streamers who create competitive Pokémon content and need to keep up-to-date with the meta. 

To help individuals understand the factors that go into building better Pokémon teams by analyzing type matchups, move coverage, stat distribution, and team synergy.

We want people to understand what is involved in building a quality Pokémon team regarding many aspects such as: team builds, type coverage, archetypes, success rates, and specialization.

What Worked Well

  • The website’s theme was visually appealing and nostalgic.

  • The glossary was highly valued, especially for users unfamiliar with the terminology.

  • The ability to isolate the data by region/filter heavily declutters the screen and makes the data look clean.

  • Most participants were able to analyze what data was being represented fairly intuitively.
